JADE Releases New Song “Plastic Box”
British singer-songwriter and former Little Mix, JADE released the sixth single called “Plastic Box” from her upcoming debut solo album “THAT'S SHOWBIZ BABY!” On June 20, 2025.
The new album is set to be released on September 12, 2025 via RCA Records.
The song is accompanied by the India Harris-directed music video.
The track captures that irrational feeling in a relationship where you're constantly thinking about your partner's past relationships.
It was written by Daniel Traynor, Jade Thirlwall, Lauren Aquilina, and Oscar Görres. Produced by GRADES andOscar Görres.
JADE said of the song, “'Plastic Box', is about that irrational and toxic insecurity within us when we think about our partner's previous relationships, even though we know everyone has a past. It's a happy-sad pop song and one of my favourite songs I've ever written.”
She added about the video, “Thank you to the incredible director India Harris and to all of the crew, dancers, glam, extras and everyone involved in the making of this video.”- The debut album comprises 14 tracks, on which JADE worked with Mike Sabath, Lostboy, Cirkut, RAYE and Pablo Bowman.
JADE said of the the album, “This album has been years in the making, so I'm beyond excited that I can finally let everyone know when it's coming out. I'm very proud of 'THAT'S SHOWBIZ BABY!' as a body of work and can't wait to share it with the world. To be able to perform the album live later this year is also a dream come true.
