Rye LaChance Returns With New Song “My Father and Me”
Nashville-based singer-songwriter Rye LaChance returned with a new song “My Father and Me” on June 13, 2025.
The song is her first music since “Who Am I”, which was released last August.
The track reflects upon the not always harmonious relationship with her father through the lens of acceptance and self-love she’s grown to learn.
Years of emotion pour through Rye LaChance’s vocals as she reconciles her complicated relationship with her father.
It was written by Rylie LaChance, and produced by Jake Finch and Collin Pastore.
The accompanying music video was directed by Cole Barnhill.
Rye LaChance said of the song, “‘My Father and Me’ is a song that follows my rocky relationship with my father over the course of several years. Writing it was a way for me to come to terms with my pain and turn it into something meaningful that I could carry as I healed those parts of me.”- She shared on social media, “Massive thank you to everyone involved in getting this song to the finish line, it’s been a long time coming. Thank you to those who have been asking for this song over the past two years for being so patient and still sticking around to see the finished product. And, of course, thank you to my dad who inspired it all, for both the good and the bad that have helped shape me into the person I am today.”
