Conor Maynard Releases New Song “Runaway Man”
British singer-songwriter Conor Maynard released his brand new single called “Runaway Man” on May 30, 2025.
The song is the follow-up to the collaborative song “She's So High” with Jaxomy, which was released back in February.
As his solo music, the track follows “Taste” released last October.
Also, it is his first release after his paternity scandal.
Last year, Charlotte Chilton, who is a contestant on the second series of The Traitors, claimed that Conor Maynard is the father of her child. But he subsequently took a paternity test confirming that he was not the father.
The track was written by Brendan Buckley, Conor Maynard, and Jordan Shaw. Produced by Conor Maynard and Brendan Buckley.
The accompanied music video was directed by Conor Maynard himself.
Conor Maynard said of the song, “I know I've been kinda quiet this past year.. I guess it's time to start telling my side of the story.”
He added, “I have a new single out... a new single called Runaway Man. Which goes into my struggle with mental health and how it feels for me.”- Conor Maynard shared about the scandal on social media, “Earlier this week, I took a paternity test regarding Charlotte Chilton's baby girl, Penelope, in the presence of her legal representative. Today I've received the test results which confirm that I am not Penelope's father. I am glad that the speculation can finally be put to an end. All I would ask is that people act with kindness in response to this news - there is child at the heart of all of this and that should not be forgotten. I wish Charlotte and her family all the best.”
