Lola Young Announces New Album “I'm Only F**king Myself”, Shares New Song “Not Like That Anymore”
British singer-songwriter Lola Young has announced her upcoming third studio album “I'm Only F**king Myself” will be released on September 19, 2025 via Island/Day One.
It is her first album in a year since the 2024 album “This Wasn't Meant for You Anyway”.
The album comprises 14 tracks, co-written and produced with frequent collaborators manuka and SOLOMONOPHONIC. It explores themes of self-sabotage and using addiction as a form of escapism.
Lola Young said of the album, “My ode to self sabotage, my chance to claw myself back from the edge of defeat.”
From the album, she released a new song “Not Like That Anymore” on June 20, 2025.
The song is the second single off of the album, following “One Thing” released last month.
It was written by Carter Lang, Conor Dickinson, Jared Solomon, Lola Young, and William Brown. Produced by Carter Lang and manuka.- Last month, Lola Young won Rising Star Award with Amazon Music at The Ivors Academy 2025.
She said, “Writing songs for me isn't a job. It's never been a job or a chore and it will never be. Because of the simple fact that I need to do it. I don't know why, but I don't really bother asking myself that silly question anymore. Because whether it's my duty or an outlet or a means for me to heal, or a gift or a blessing or a cure, or maybe a combination of them all, something inside me just needs to do it to make sense of things. I don't understand yet to process my pain, my thoughts, my feelings. I write so I can feel and other days I write so the rest of me Doen't have to. And in the moments where, I really don't know who the *** I am. I write so I can remember. Thank you so much. Because even though I did not expect this in any way, or nor did I ever write songs, with any expectation validation helps to keep me going and helps me to continue to be, myself as a person, as a woman, a songwriter, and an artist.
