Morgan Myles Releases New Song “How Does That Sound”
Nashville-based singer-songwriter Morgan Myles released a new song “How Does That Sound” on May 30, 2025.
The song is the first single from her upcoming sophomore album, which is expected to be released in 2025 via Blue Élan Records.
It was written by Gary Nichols and Morgan Myles. Produced by Ross Hogarth.
The accompanying music video was directed by Daniel Hamm.
The track features David Grissom on guitar, Jorgen Carlsson on bass, Kenny Aronoff on drums, Gary Nichols on background vocals, Greg Leisz on dobro, John McFee on pedal steel, John Schroeder on banjo, and Bukka Allen on accordion.
Morgan Myles said of the song, “The song conveys a yearning for adventure and intimacy, inviting listeners to escape the chaos of life and connect deeply with a partner. Each line resonates with the longing for peace and closeness, something that is very important to me.”
She added, “We wrote this song with the intent of that intimacy of being with that special person, feeling free out in the middle of nowhere, and finding that special connection that we all long to have... at least that’s what I want!”- Morgan Myles shared on social media, “This is the first song from my upcoming album and I'm more proud of this record than any other record Ive ever released!!! I hope yall love this song just as much as I loved writing it! Gary Nichols and I penned this one down in Muscle Shoals when I turned this song into my Producer, Ross Hogarth, his response was you’re on a roll... it’s always pretty tough to write a love song that feels rooted and not some cheesy surface level mush, I hope you guys feel the true depth of this one because it’s not too often I write something like this. Who doesn’t want to find that one person that you can escape with and feel completely safe. It’s rare and I hope one day to find that.”
