Dean Lewis Releases New Song “Truth”
Australian singer-songwriter Dean Lewis will release a deluxe edition of the third studio album “The Epilogue” on July 11, 2025.
It will be available on DSPs and as a limited edition 2LP vinyl.
The deluxe edition comprises 17 tracks, including the original 12 songs and 5 new songs.
From the deluxe edition, he unveiled a new song “Truth” on May 29, 2025.
The song follows “I Hate That It's True”, which was released last month.
Also, the track is a sequel to his debut song “Waves”, which was released in 2016.
It was written and produced by Dean Lewis, Edd Holloway, and Nick Atkinson.
The accompanying music video was directed by Mick Jones, who also directed “Waves”, and Sean Loaney.
The video picks up where “Waves” left off.- Dean Lewis said of the song, “I wrote it about being betrayed by someone I loved. I tried to capture that feeling with the lyric 'my darling what have you done'. Finding out for the first time. For the artwork we went back to the exact same cabin where we took the photo for waves. This song I consider the sister song to waves, because it has the same feeling and world, so many people have said over the years that waves helped them. When I wrote truth I called it 'waves junior' before officially calling it truth. I hope you guys love it. It’s one of my favorite songs I’ve written.”
