Matteo Bocelli Announces New Album “Falling In Love”, Shares New Song “To Get to Love You”
Italian singer-songwriter Matteo Bocelli has announced his upcoming sophomore album “Falling In Love” will be released on September 12, 2025 via Decca Records.
It marks his first solo album in two years the 2023 set-titled debut album “Matteo”.
Recorded in his Tuscan home in the heart of Italy, this new body of work blends Matteo’s rich classical roots with modern pop influences, capturing the spirit of timeless romance through a contemporary lens.
The album comprises 11 tracks, all of which feature original songs co-written by Matteo Bocelli in collaboration with acclaimed songwriters including Toby Gad, Martin Terefe, Iain Archer, and Johan Carlsson.
Matteo Bocelli said of the album, “A project that is full of stories and emotions... this album marks a new chapter in my artistic journey.”- From the album, he released a new song “To Get to Love You” on June 25, 2026.
The heart-wrenching ballad incorporates a sample from the 1968 film “La Leçon Particulière”.
It was written by Amy Wadge, Francis Lai, Matteo Bocelli, and Zak Lloyd. Produced by Martin Terefe.
Matteo Bocelli told PEOPLE about the song, “It's a beautiful song to me. We wrote it with Amy Wadge. She's an incredible songwriter. You may recognize a section on the song [from Michel Boisrond’s 1968 film La Leçon Particulière]. Basically we developed a song around this sample.”
He added, “We chose Martin Terefe as the main producer of the album because to us, he felt like the right person for the way I wanted to shape my songs. When producing a record, I want them to get to know me and my everyday life, where I come from, my roots.” -
