Richard Ashcroft Returns with New Song “Lover”
British singer-songwriter Richard Ashcroft returned with a new song “Lover” along with a music video on May 22, 2025.
The song is his first solo music in seven years since the 2018 album “Natural Rebel”.
The track samples Kittitian-British singer-songwriter Joan Armatrading's “Love And Affection”, which was released in 1976.
Joan Armatrading heard “Lover” and gave him her blessing to release the song.
The track was written by oan Armatrading and Richard Ashcroft. Produced by Richard Ashcroft and Emre Ramazanoglu.
Richard Ashcroft will support Oasis' 2025 UK and Ireland reunion tour.
The tour kicks off at Principality Stadium in Cardiff on July 4, 2025 and will conclude at Wembley Stadium in London on September 28, 2025.
