Miranda Lambert & Chris Stapleton Team Up for New Song “A Song To Sing”
American country music singer-songwriter Miranda Lambert joined forces with American country music singer-songwriter Chris Stapleton to release a new song “A Song To Sing” on July 11, 2025.
This marks their first collaboration in two years since Chris Stapleton's 2023 fifth studio album “Higher”, which featured “What Am I Gonna Do”, co-written by Miranda Lambert and Chris Stapleton.
For Miranda Lambert, the song is her first original music since the 2024 album “Postcards from Texas”.
Meanwhile, for Chris Stapleton, the song follows “Bad As I Used To Be” from “F1 The Movie” soundtrack, which was released back in May.
The track was written by Chris Stapleton, Jenee Fleenor, Jesse Frasure, and Miranda Lambert. Produced by Dave Cobb.
“A Song To Sing” is a summer romance song with laid-back instrumentals and sweet lyrics.- Miranda Lambert said of the song, “Chris understands the emotion of this song from the inside out, because he and Morgane [Stapleton's wife] have both lived it. To have someone so soulful and willing to go into the heart of the feelings, to share the pull of the road and creative life - and what that means when you love someone with every bit of your being is next level. When we finished it, we both knew we wanted to release it, to share it with everyone.”
Chris Stapleton said of Miranda Lambert, “I don't think people talk about what a great songwriter she is enough. We all know that she's a great singer and entertainer and all those things, but she's a really great country songwriter.” -
