AJR Announces New EP “What No One's Thinking”, Shares New Song “Betty”
American alt-pop trio AJR, consisting of Adam Met (bass), Jack Met (vocals) and Ryan Met (keyboards), has announced their upcoming EP “What No One's Thinking” will be released on August 29, 2025 via their label AJR Productions.
The EP comprises 5 tracks, produced by AJR. It is a thematic counterpart to the 2016 EP “What Everyone's Thinking” and is an introspective project, diving into the quiet corners of everyday emotion.
From the EP, the band released a new song “Betty” on July 9, 2025.
The song weaves together lush instrumentation with layered vocal harmonies that build with cinematic intensity. Lyrically, the single delves into the emotional complexity of a fractured relationship, capturing both vulnerability and wry self-awareness.
The band first performed the song on on Jimmy Kimmel Live!.
The track was written by Jack Met, and Ryan Met, who also produced it. The accompanying music video was directed by AJR and filmed in their attic.- The band said of the song, “'Betty' is a very personal song about grappling with the idea of 'forever' with someone you love. It's about all the pressure we feel at this age to settle down, and the confusion that comes with it.”
AJR embarks on Somewhere In The Sky Tour in support of the EP. The tour kicks off at Nugget Event Center in Spark, NV on July 18, and will concluded at Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, CA on October 4, 2025.
