Goo Goo Dolls Returns With New Song “Nothing Lasts Forever”
American rock band Goo Goo Dolls, consisting of John Rzeznik (guitar/vocals) and Robby Takac (bass/vocals), returned with a new song “Nothing Lasts Forever” on July 11, 2025.
The song is their first music in a year and 5 months since “Beautiful Lie”, which was released last February.
The single was released ahead of Summer Anthem Tour and blends warm synth textures with emotive vocals, capturing a sense of fleeting nostalgia.
It was written by Grant Michaels, John Rzeznik, and Gregg Wattenberg, who also produced the track.
The accompanying music video was directed by Kat White and filmed in os Angeles. The clip explores the fleeting nature of our lives through the intimate microcosm of passing strangers, epitomising the realization that nothing lasts forever.- The band lead singer John Rzeznik said of the song, “It always feels good to share new music, and 'Nothing Lasts Forever' came from a place of accepting change and letting go. The song is a reminder that everything moves, everything shifts, and that's part of life. We're also grateful to put this out ahead of our Summer Anthem Tour so fans can experience it with us live.”
