  • BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend 2025 took place at Sefton Park in Liverpool from May 23 to 25, 2025.

Each year BBC Radio 1 rounds up some of the hottest artists in the world and gets them together for three days of music in a UK city.
The festival consisted of Radio 1 Main Stage, Radio 1 New Music Stage, Radio 1 Dance Stage, and BBC Introducing Stage, with about 100 acts across four stages.
The lineup was Ed Sheeran, Tom Grennan, Biffy Clyro, James Hype, Natasha Bedingfield, The Wombats, Sam Fender, Wolf Alice, Blossoms, Myles Smith, Sugababes, Tom Odell, Mumford & Sons, HAIM, Wet Leg, Jorja Smith, Lola Young, Tate McRae, Aitch, JADE, Self Esteem, Inhaler, Joy Crookes and others.

This year, Los Angeles-based rock band HAIM and Canadian singer-songwriter Tate McRae appeared at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend for the first time.
Additionally, British singer-songwriters Laura Young and Myles Smith performed on the main stage for the first time, following the success of her song “Messy” and his song “Stargazing”.
  • British singer-songwriter Tom Grennan said of the festival, “Being asked to Headline Radio 1's Big Weekend in Liverpool, a city that has given so much to the rich musical tapestry of this country, is an incredible honour. Radio 1 have backed me from day one from the humble beginning of the BBC Introducing stage for BBC, to BBC Introducing Artist of the Year 2018, and beyond. We have shared so many amazing moments on my journey so far, and to now go hand in glove and headline their event in such an incredible city will be another crowning moment for me and my career so far.”
