  • Loaded Honey Premieres New Song “Tokyo Rain” on BBC Radio 1

  • London-based music project Loaded Honey, consisting of J Lloyd (guitar/vocals) and Lydia Kitto (vocals/keyboards), will release their debut album “Love Made Trees” this Friday (June 6th).

J Lloyd and Lydia Kitto are better known as members of London-based electro-pop band Jungle.
From the album, the duo premiered a new song “Tokyo Rain” on BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders.
The song is the fifth and final pre-release single from the album, following “Bullet”, “Loaded Honey”, “Don't Speak,” and “Lessons”.
It was written and produced by J Lloyd and Lydia Kitto.
The accompanying music video was directed by J Lloyd and Charlie Di Placido.

The band lead singer Lydia Kitto told Jack Saunders about the song, “It was actually made in Tokyo. It's one of them situations where you just name the Logic project. 'What name it, it was raining and we're in Tokyo.' So just tried it out.”
  • She continued, “We were in high rise buildings. We just had an earthquake the night before, so the building was swaying when we were in our rooms. It was pretty mental. That was made in a tiny little hotel room in Tokyo. Really, really small hotel rooms. I was sitting on the on the floor in the carpet, recording into this tiny little microphone with the speakers playing out my laptop.”

Former Jungle's member J Lloyd said of the album, “I think it's kind of all the music that we didn't really have space for in Jungle ultimately. It was like, a lot of the ballads, I've always sort of described it to people. If Jungle was for sort of Friday nights, then Loaded Honey for Sunday mornings. That's my quote.”
