The Supermen Lovers & OneRepublic Team Up for New Single “Starlight (The Fame)”
French electronic music producer The Supermen Lovers teamed up with American pop rock band OneRepublic to release a new version of “Starlight”, called “Starlight (The Fame)” on June on June 20, 2025.
This marks the first collaboration between The Supermen Lovers and OneRepublic.
The original version was released by The Supermen Lovers from his debut album “The Player” in 2001, featuring Mani Hoffman on lead vocals.
At that time, the song reached No.2 on French and the UK Singles Chart.
It was written by Guillaume Atlan and Sidney Benichou. The new version was produced by Guillaume Atlan, Ryan Tedder, and Grant Boutin.
The accompanying music video is the same as the original version, but the audio has been replaced with the new version. It was directed by Laurent and David Nicolas.- The Supermen Lovers, aka Guillaume Atlan said of the song, “What's incredible is when I received Ryan's demo, it was full of surprises. Starlight is not a title I was expecting to have surprises in and to really have a total upheaval. And so I listen, I directly stars with the sampled stem that I used in the original, that normally enters way later as there's a whole intro to get to it, but he does an intro with it. And he comes up with the beginning of the first verse. In fact, it's a completely new melody. It's a surprise. And then, what makes me even happier afterwards is that I hear in middle of the first verse, he took the melody from the very beginning of the first verse of the original version. He skillfully resembles the entire melody of the verse, so that it sounds as if you already know it. In another way, it's something very new, so I'm delighted. And he drops the chorus.
