Maya Unagi Releases New Song “Stumbling”
Bay Area-based South Asian-American singer-songwriter Maya Unagi released her brand new single called “Stumbling” on May 17, 2025.
The song will appear on her upcoming debut EP “Pieces”, which is set to be released in July 2025.
The track is written as a love letter to the past and the future, like a whispered conversation between past, present, and future selves.
It was written and produced by Maya Nag and Curran Sinha.
The track features, Curran Sinha on drums, Kace on bass, Sara Kawai on harp, David Lechuga on guitar and Sara Madani on strings.
Maya Unagi said of the song, “I wrote it as a love letter from the perspective of my current self to my younger self, and in turn from my elder self to present self. it’s a tender invitation to look back with kinder eyes. I hope you take it. The track was made so lush and gorgeous by the collaborators I had the pleasure and privilege of working with-still pinching myself as type this out.”- The debut EP was created with an impressive roster of collaborators, including Itai Shapira, Bubby Lewis, Aaron Liao, and Sara Kawai-each adding their own nuanced layer to Maya’s ever-deepening sonic palette.
