Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers Releases New Song “UNSCARRED”
Australian rock band Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers, consisting of Anna Ryan (vocals/guitar), Scarlett McKahey (guitar/vocals), Jaida Stephenson (bass) and Neve van Boxsel (drums), released a new song “UNSCARRED” on June 25, 2025.
The track explores the murky waters of situationships and the universal chaos of watching your friends date male musicians.
The band recorded the song during a five-week session at The Grove Studios in Australia.
It was written by Anna Ryan, Gab Strum, Jaida Stephenson, Neve Van Boxsel, and Scarlett McKahey. Produced by Catherine Marks, as with the previous song “BALCONY” released last month.
The accompanying music video was directed by Claire Giuffre.- The band said of the song, “'UNSCARRED' was written after hearing about a friend’s failed situationship with a male musician. It’s a feeling we can all relate to-when you think you’re on the same page as someone (who in reality can’t talk about their feelings and end up making you feel insane). It was nice being able to write from her shoes without actually going through the treachery of dating this man.”
