Flair Releases New Song “City Lights”
Glasgow-based alt-rock band Flair, consisting of Tony Collum (vocals), Callum Mcarthur (drums), Jonathan Wilkie (bass), Jonathan Donald (lead guitar) and Louis Collum (rhythm guitar), released a new song “City Lights” on July 4, 2025.
The song is their first music since their self-titled debut EP, which was released last December.
The debut EP reminded us it's always darkest before the dawn, “City Lights” captures the sound of the dawn itself.
It was written by Antonio Collum, Callum McArthur, Johnnie Wilkie, Jonathan Donald, and Louis Collum. Produced by by Mark Morrow.
The band will perform the song at Belladrum Festival 2025 in the Scottish Highlands on August 2, 2025.- The band said of the song, “'City Lights' was the result of a late-night writing session between Johnnie (bass) and Tony (vocals) when they got together to combine some music and lyrics they had written independently. Once it was fleshed out by the rest of the band, we instantly knew we had a great tune. We've really leaned into our softer, fast-paced element. It bridges the heavier moments with a gentler touch, while still offering its own kind of subtle chaos.”
