Young Rising Sons' Andy Tongren Releases New Song “Franconia”
Back in May, American indie pop band Young Rising Sons' frontman Andy Tongren released his debut solo single “So Good”.
The debut song was released ahead of the band's sophomore album “YRS”, which was released in June 2025.
Following the debut single, he released the second solo single “Franconia” along with a music video on July 4, 2025.
The song is an anthemic indie folk single filled with a sing-a-long worthy foot-stomping chorus and poetic lyricism.
It was written and produced by Andy Tongren, Jackson Hoffman, Aaron Accetta, and Shep Goodman.
Andy Tongren said of the song, “Franconia is about falling in love - with a person, a place, or both all at once. It's the sudden, undeniable pull that feels destined. Over time, Franconia becomes more than just a place - it becomes a state of mind, a memory, a metaphor for how certain people and places leave their mark on you.”- Andy Tongren said of his solo act, “I really do try and find the silver lining any way I can. At my core, I feel like there's nothing else I can do.”
He continued, speaking about his debut song, “It's funny - it kind of came from a dark place. I'm living in a cold, dark basement on the outskirts of Bushwick, trying to get by day to day...Winter was starting and I think I just wanted to feel a little bit of warmth. I wasn't overly precious with the approach to writing. All the minutiae that comes with blending art and commerce...it's so easy to get caught up in that. On 'So Good,' I didn't think - I just did. “If it's a little bit off, leave it. There's real human elements in this.” - source : Apple Music
