Tess & The Details Releases New Song “Take Me Alive”
San Francisco-based punk rock band Tess & The Details, consisting of Tess Stevens (vocals/guitar), Gideon Berger (drums), Dustin Galecki (guitar) and Lawrence Hood (bass), returned with a new song “Take Me Alive” on June 13, 2025.
The song is their first original music in two years since the 2023 debut album “Runaway”.
As the single, the song is the follow-up to a cover of American guitarist Michael Sembello's 1983's smash hit “Maniac”.
The track was written by Tess Stevens and produced by Scott Goodrich. The accompanying music video was filmed by Like Roses guitarist Devin Zamora and edited by Tess Stevens.
The band lead singer Tess Stevens said of the song, “The song is about rejecting the stupidity we see online, unplugging ourselves from the things that cause us self doubt. It’s about telling the world to ‘take you alive’ as you truly are.”- The band shared on social media, “We’re very proud of our first original release since 2023 - and can’t wait for you to hear it.
