Switch Disco & Tones And I Release Cover of Kiesza's “HIDEAWAY”
British DJ duo Switch Disco, consisting of Dan Creasy and Nikos Kalogerias, joined forces with Australian singer-songwriter Tones And I to release a cover of Canadian singer-songwriter Kiesza's “HIDEAWAY” on June 6, 2025.
This marks the first collaboration between Switch Disco and Tones And I.
The original version of the song was released by Kiesza as her debut single from her debut album “Sound of a Woman” in 2014.
The song reached No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart, becoming the third-fastest selling single of 2014 in the United Kingdom.
The track was written by Kiesa Rae Ellestad and Rami Samir Afuni. The cover version was produced by Switch Disco and Punctual.
The duo said of the song, “We are bring this banger back from 2014 - for the ones who lived it and the ones who missed out.”- Back in 2014, Kiesza told Planet Notion about the song, “It’s a crazy story. I was just about to head to the airport to board a plane to LA. At the time, I was in New York and I was going to head out there as my writing was picking up. I was ready to board a plane and Rami – the producer I work with – had started working on this track in the studio and it sounded really cool. It reminded me of a lot of the people that I’m into, so I asked if I could jump on the mic before I had to go. The entire song just came out. Everything you hear was finished in an hour-and-a-half. It just poured out.”
