  • Wet Leg Premieres New Song “CPR” on BBC Radio 1

  • British indie rock band Wet Leg, consisting of Rhian Teasdale (lead vocals/rhythm guitar), Hester Chambers (lead guitar), Henry Holmes (drums), Josh Mobaraki (rhythm guitar), Ellis Durand (bass), premiered a new song “CPR” on BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders.

The song is the second single off of their upcoming sophomore album “moisturizer”, which is set to be released on July 11, 2025 via Domino.
It was written by Ellis Durand and Rhian Teasdale. Produced by Dan Carey.
The accompanying music video was directed by Wet Leg.

The band lead singer Rhian Teasdale told Jack Saunders about the song, “CPR was kind of like the first song that is like a love song. The album is full of love songs, and this has this kind of fear around falling in love, like woven throughout it.”
  • She continued, “I think I was like, accessing the fear arounf. Like, Oh, no, I'm like, I'm about to really fall for this person. It was just kind of like a springboard for all of the other love songs on the album that would follow, I guess.”

She added, “I think it's just a really nice. Obviously, it's like, one of the best kind of places to be is like, madly in love. It's cool to kind of like, get to access that.”

  • The new album comprises 12 track, produced by Dan Care. It is their first album in three years since the 2022 self-titled debut album.
The band wrote the album while living together in the seaside town of Southwold in Norfolk.

Rhian Teasdale said of the album, “It was very natural that we would write the second record together. We focussed on [thinking] ‘is this going to be fun to play live?’”

She added, “I thought I was straight all of my life until I met my current partner - these love songs are about them. I just found it so much more interesting and empowering to be writing love songs where I’m not lusting over a man - it feels a little bit different.”
