GRACEY Releases New Song “Gimmicks”
British singer-songwriter GRACEY will release her upcoming EP “The Ladybug” on July 10, 2025 via Glassnote Records.
From the EP, she released a new song “Gimmicks” on May 28, 2025.
The song is the fourth single off of the EP, following “Back To Then”, “Rhetorical Questions”, and “Delirium”.
It was written by Grace Barker, Melanie Fontana, and Michel Schulz. Produced by Lindgren.
The accompanying music video was directed by Tony Tacheny, who filmed it in Mammoth Lakes, California, and also directed her previous videos for “Back To Then”, “Rhetorical Questions”, and “Delirium”.
GRACEY shared on social media, “This may be my favourite gracey video yet and I'm so excited for you guys to FINALLLYYY see it. I want to give a HUGE shoutout and love to my songwriting collaborators and la family on this - Melanie Fontana & Lindgren you are so insanely inspiring to work wit, thank you for lending me your brains.”- The new EP is her first project in four years since the 2021 EP “Fragile”.
It is her first release under her new label Glassnote Records. She lefta major label Polydor Records in 2023 and signed to the indie label Glassnote Records in 2024.
GRACEY said of the EP, “Both the title and lyrical themes of this EP were inspired by 'the yellow car theory' - the idea that when you start actively looking for something, you start seeing it everywhere. For me, ladybugs became a quiet emblem of hope and self-trust - little red signs that always seemed to show up when I needed them most, as if to say what you're looking for might already be right in front of you. This EP to me is both a search and a guide: if you're looking for love, meaning, or clarity, I hope LADYBUG can help you to start spotting it.” - source : Apple Music
