  • Chloe Stroll Releases New Song “You're OK”

  • Canadian singer-songwriter Chloe Stroll released her brand new song “You're OK” on June 20. 2025.

The song is her first single of 2025.
She wrote the song after her grandmother passed away in 2015. It is a heartfelt ballad and an emotional tribute to grieving someone you love and finding your way through life without them.
The track was written by Chloe Stroll, and David (Swagg R'Celious) Harris, who also produced it.

Chloe Stroll said of the song, “'You're OK' was a big healing song for me. I wrote it about my grandmother. She and I were very, very close, and the only thing that really gave me comfort in that moment was knowing that she was OK.”

Stroll continued, “My grandma was spectacular. She would always sit in this big yellow chair in her bedroom and wait for us to come and visit her...You could never call enough, you could never see her enough. So I painted the picture that I remembered, of her sitting in the chair... I painted that picture, I wanted to capture the sadness, but also turn it into something that felt healing for me. 'At least one of us is OK.'”
  • She said how this song helped her heal, “So how this song helped me heal, thinking about 'You're OK', and writing it was definitely a process. I lost my grandmother in 2015 and that was a really big loss for me. And I lost my grandfather in 2021 and that was also significant loss for me. And I think that it was really interesting going back all these years later and trying to relive both their memories. I was specifically close with my grandmother, although I was close with both of them. But just really reliving her and those memories and her childhood and things and writing down what I loved and so many more happy things, and it really helped me heal, because it just made me reflect on all the beautiful times that we had together, and all the really great memories, as opposed to really the sad ones and she was sick and passed away, you know, unfortunately, when she was sick.”

  • She continued, “So I think for me, it was it made me smile, and it made me happy, and it made me realize that at least she's not suffering anymore, at least she is in a much better place and she's happy and she can run and does enough to be in a wheelchair, and she is with her friends and her mother and her sisters, and that brought me comfort. So writing this song for both of them brought me a lot of comfort knowing that they are in a better place. And I miss them that that's okay. I'll see them one day again.”
