Gavin James Releases New Song “Cherry Cola”
Irish singer-songwriter Gavin James released a new song “Cherry Cola” on June 20, 2025.
The song will appear on his upcoming fourth studio album “Goldrush”, which is set to be released on September 12, 2025.
The album is his first LP in three years since the 2022 album “The Sweetest Part”.
The track was written by Daniel Dare, Gavin James, and Mark Prenderghast. Produced by Gavin James and Daniel Dare.
Gavin James said of the song, “It’s a song about meeting someone on a night out and falling in love only to wake up and you both have lost feelings for each other. There’s no sadness about it, it’s just life. It sounds like a party reminiscing on a party that happened the night before.”
He continued, “It definitely had a huge effect on what the album was going to sound like. Lots of guitar. Lots of scratchy bass and lots of live elements were put in later to give it a whole lot of energy.”- The new album comprises 13 tracks, featuring upbeat, energetic tracks and personal, introspective songs. Produced by Gavin James, Dan Dare, Daniel Dare, Jimbo Barry, Corey Sanders, Alex Beitzke, and Ollie Green.
Gavin James said of the album, “It’s an album that I’ve been writing and producing for the last two years. It’s also the first time I’ve dived head first into production, which was an amazing experience. The first track Goldrush felt like the perfect beginning of something new that I’ve been trying to find for a while.
