Raynes Releases New Song “Your Mouth Is a Garden”
British-American alt-pop trio Raynes, consisting of Mat Charley (vocals/guitar), Joe Berger (guitar) and Mark Race (keyboards), will release their upcoming EP “Bloom” on June 20, 2025.
From the EP, the band released the third and final pre-release single called “Your Mouth Is a Garden” on May 16, 2025, following “Goldfish” and “It's So Quiet Without You”.
Sonically containing hints of Afrobeat inspired percussion amidst more straightforward melodic pop, the new tune explores the feelings that arise during the aftermath of an argument.
The track was written and produced by Mat Charley.
The band said of the song, “'Your Mouth Is a Garden' is the third single from Bloom. We've written very few proper love songs, but this one comes close. So many songs are about love because it really is the whole point of being alive. But love, real love, requires humility and patience and forgiveness and commitment and a hundred other little things and little sacrifices. Tha's what this song is about.”- The new EP comprises 7 tracks, produced by Mat Charley. The band describes Bloom as a "chamber pop" record.
The title Bloom was inspired by the Arts and Crafts movement, a trend in design philosophy that began in the British Isles around 1880.
Exploring the themes of growth and renewal, the EP draws heavily from the principles of the Arts and Crafts movement, using its distinctive floral and botanical elements to visually and sonically evoke a garden.
