  • Sam Ryder Releases Two New Songs “OH OK” & “Armour”

  • British singer-songwriter Sam Ryder released two new songs “OH OK” and “Armour” on May 23, 2025 via Artist Theory.

Two songs follows “White Lies”, which was released back in March.
Three songs will appear on his upcoming sophomore album, which is expected to be released later this year.
“OH OK” was written by Camille Purcell, Sam Ryder, and Steve Mac, who also produced the track.
Meanwhile, “Armour” was written by Quinn Lewis, Sam Ryder, and Todd Clark. Produced by Sam Ryder and Todd Clark.
He first performed two songs during his North American tour this month.

Sam Ryder said of “OH OK”, “I wrote OH OK about that feeling you get when someone who was an important part of your life, that you’re no longer with, is trying their hardest to make you jealous, and the ways in which we can claim our own power back while in that temporary space. Understanding the truth behind empty actions and acting rather than reacting seem to be the key to this, and I hope OH OK serves as a reminder that if you’re going through it, this too shall pass.”
  • He said of “Armour”, “Armour was initially written about someone who used to be in my life, who I parted ways with. But after playing it live for the first time recently, I realised I actually wrote it about myself, or maybe even as a reminder to myself to forgive and keep letting go. Playing it live has been where the song has gained life and meaning, and releasing it is my small way of saying thank you for helping me regain some peace.”
