RSCL & VASSY Team Up for New Song “Beg”
Dutch DJ RSCL and Australian singer-songwriter VASSY teamed up to release a new song “Beg” on May 16, 2025 via Gemstone Records.
This marks the first collaboration between RSCL and VASSY.
For RSCL, the song is the follow-up to Nerves with Julia Temos, which was released back in February.
Meanwhile, VASSY released the song a week after VASSY unleashed her new acoustic EP “The BossAcoustics”.
The track is about emotional surrender and the vulnerability we often try to hide.
It was written by Isaac McKelvey, Luke Conibear, Phil Bentley, and Vicky Karagiorgos. Produced by Franklin van Beek, Steijn Bergsma, Luke Conibear, Isaac McKelvey, and Vicky Karagiorgos.
VASSY said of the song, “This track came from a very real place of emotional surrender. It's about those moments when pride falls away and you're just raw, open and honest-sometimes even to the point of heartbreak. Musically, I wanted to bring back that festival energy you know me for, but pair it with vulnerability. I wanted it to feel good and hit hard while still telling a deeper story. That's always been my lane: emotion with impact.”- VASSY told Rolling Stone about the song, “From the moment I wrote and recorded 'BEG', I knew it had that special spark-emotive, energetic, and made for the dancefloor. When the label heard it, they instantly loved it and introduced me to RSCL. We clicked right away, and the collaboration came together effortlessly. What we created is a soulful, piano-driven house track that feels like summer-uplifting, emotional, and full of energy that you can feel in every beat.”
