Messiness Releases New Song “Feature with a Rapper”
Italian indie rock band Messiness, consisting of Max Raffa (vocals/guitar), Rosario Lo Monaco (guitar), Filippo La Marca (keyboards), Giovanni Calella (bass) and Luca Anello (drums), released a new song “Feature with a Rapper” on May 9m 2025.
The song is the follow-up to “Previous Life”, which was released back in March.
Both songs will appear on their upcoming debut album, which is expected to be released later this year.
The track started out as a tongue-in-cheek tale of an artist chasing clout in the industry, delivering a scathing critique of the legitimacy of creativity in the digital age.
It was written and produced by Massimiliano Raffa, with production by Ivan A. Rossi.- The band lead singer Max Raffa said of the song, “The industry, as depicted here, is a closed circuit, where legitimacy is not earned through talent alone but through prior recognition. This dilemma is exacerbated by the anonymous and decentralized nature of digital platforms; the question 'Who are you?' is not simply an expression of unfamiliarity but an existential challenge to artistic worth. In an era where visibility is currency, those without prior capital are functionally non-existent.”
