Folk Bitch Trio Releases New Song “Moth Song”
Australian indie folk band Folk Bitch Trio, consisting of Gracie Sinclair, Jeanie Pilkington and Heide Peverelle, released a new song “Moth Song” along with a music video on June 24, 2025.
The song is the fourth single off of their upcoming debut album “Now Would Be A Good Time”, which is set to be released on July 25, 2025 via Jagjaguwar.
The track explores themes of unrequited love and emotional confusion. The band lead singer Gracie Sinclair describes the song as being about “feeling so spun out by everything that you feel like you're delusional and hallucinating crazy things.”
It was written by Grace Sinclair, Heide Peverelle, and Jeanie Pilkington. Produced by Tom Healy and Folk Bitch Trio.
The accompanying video was directed by Folk Bitch Trio. The clip features behind-the-scenes footage from the album's recording sessions.- The band said of the video, “Video of us making our record, which comes out in 1 month, edited by our own Heide and filmed by us all in the studio in the Aotearoa winter. This one is special. The Folk Bitch Trio universe is filled with moths.”

The band recorded the debut album, featuring 10-track, with producer Tom Healy in Auckland during the winter of 2023.
Jeanie Pilkington said, “We all talked about loving music when we were growing up, and knowing we wanted music to be a big part of our lives. But for me at least, when I looked into the future, it was this relatively mysterious thing.”
Gracie Sinclair added, “The chemistry of being inspired by each other was evident from the get-go. We have three individual voices, but the story we tell is unified because our hearts are very melded.”
