The Favors (FINNEAS & Ashe) Announce Debut Album “The Dream”, Share Debut Song “The Little Mess You Made”
Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter FINNEAS and Nashville-based singer-songwriter Ashe have formed a new band called The Favors and announced their debut album “The Dream” will be released on September 19, 2025.
The debut album comprises 13 tracks, which the band recorded between Los Angeles and Nashville.
In the past, FINNEAS and Ashe collaborated on 2019's “Moral of the Story” and 2021's “Till Forever Falls Apart”. This marks their third collaboration, but this time, they're releasing the record as a band.
From the album, the band released a debut song “The Little Mess You Made” on June 6, 2025.
The track was written by Ashlyn Willson and Finneas O'Connell. Produced by FINNEAS.
The accompanying music video was directed by Scott Cudmore.- Ashe said of the song, “This is the way every artist dreams of making an album. People don't sing together anymore when they're recording, but it was so romantic and fun. I want you to feel simultaneously warm, fuzzy, and heartbroken at the same time.”
FINNEAS said, “It's a true 'long-play album' in its real intended meaning. Hopefully, you can have friends over, cook a meal, and play this on vinyl front-to-back.” -
Ashe told Rolling Stone about the song, “The last time the world heard us together, it was on such a sweet, tender song and we loved the idea that out the gate you get to hear us fighting for our lives, fighting with each other.”
FINNEAS added, “I think a first single has to go out into the world as your representative in a kind of a funny way - there are a couple jazzy tunes I love on this album, there's a couple ballads I love, but if they had been the first single, you might be lead to believe that we made a jazz album.
