Molly Tuttle Announces New Album “So Long Little Miss Sunshine”, Shares New Song “That's Gonna Leave a Mark”
American bluegrass singer-songwriter Molly Tuttle has announced her upcoming fifth studio album “So Long Little Miss Sunshine” will be released on August 15, 2025.
This marks her first album in two years since the 2023 album “City of Gold”, which won Best Bluegrass Album at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards.
From the album, she released the first single called “That's Gonna Leave a Mark” on June 3, 2025.
The track was written by Kevin Griffin and Molly Tuttle. Produced by Jay Joyce.
Molly Tuttle said of the song, “I wrote 'That's Gonna Leave a Mark' with my friend Kevin Griffin. He has such a brilliant pop sensibility. We reworked it a little bit last year. It's fun, sort of sassy, and that guitar part is one of my favorites that I play on the record.”- The new album comprises 12 tracks, including cover of British singer-songwriter Charli XCX's “I Love It”.
The album was produced by Jay Joyce and features Jay Bellerose on drums, Fred Eltringham, on drums, and Byron House on bass.
She co-wrote much of the album with her partner Ketch Secor.
Molly Tuttle said of the album, “We spend so much time together, we live together, and anytime I have a song idea, or he has one, it's just so easy to transition from whatever we're doing into writing a song.”
She added “I've been wanting to make this record for such a long time. Part of me was scared to do such a big departure, and that went into the album title. [Eventually I decided,] 'You know what? I'm just not going to care what people think. I'm going to do what I want.” -
She shared on social media, “It's been hard to keep this all under wraps but I finally get to share everything I've been scheming up for you! As some of you may have seen, today I released a new song called 'That's Gonna Leave a Mark.' It is the first single off my upcoming full length record So Long Little Miss Sunshine which comes out August 15th!”
