Juliet Lloyd Releases New Song “Wild Again”
Back in October 2024, American singer-songwriter Juliet Lloyd returned with her third studio album “Carnival” for the first time in 17 years.
Following the album, she released her brand new single called “Wild Again” on May 16, 2025.
The idea for the song was born out of a NY Times podcast Juliet listened to about the real-life efforts to return the whale that played Willy in the iconic movie “Free Willy” back into the wild.
The track was written by Juliet Danielle Lloyd, and Todd Wright, who also produced it.
Juliet Lloyd said of the song, “It's an insane, heartbreaking story that asks all kinds of thorny questions about human responsibility and humility and what's the 'right' thing to do and is that the same as the 'kind' thing to do. There was a line that one of the trainers said in the podcast, explaining that they were trying to 'train him to be wild again.' The complete absurdity of that statement hit me in the moment, and I immediately started jotting down lyrical ideas.”- Juliet Lloyd embarks on her first ever UK tour in support of the album. The tour kicks off at The Folklore Rooms in Brighton on July 1 and will conclude at Broadstairs in Wrotham Arms on July 12, 2025.

The album “Carnival” is her first LP since the 2007 album “Leave The Light On” and comprises 10 tracks.
Juliet Lloyd said of the album, “I've always been envious of writers who say they write songs because they have to, because they had these things they just had to get out of themselves. I had never really felt that way until this album. I've become someone who writes because they have to.” - source : Apple Music
