Friend of a Friend Releases New Song “HOS”
American indie rock band Friend of a Friend, consisting of Claire Molek (vocals/keyboard) and Jason Savsani (guitar), released a new song “HOS” on January 12, 2024.
The song is the third single off of their upcoming sophomore album “FACILITIES”, which is set to be released on March 15, 2024.
The title is an acronym for “heart of stone”. It is their brightest, most driving single the band has released to date.
The track was written by Claire Molek and Jason Savsani. Produced by Friend of a Friend and Jordan Lawlor.
The new album comprises a 12-track and is their first body of work in two years since the 2022 debut album “In Arms”.
The band recorded the album with producer Jordan Lawlor in-studio in Joshua Tree, California. Influences include “Portishead, M83, The Kills & Jose Gonzalez had a baby in the desert during the end of your favorite movie.”
The band explores a wide breadth of styles throughout the 12 tracks - notes of trip hop, indie rock, classic rock, noise rock, house music - but whatever genre this is anything and everything, something nostalgic and entirely new all at once.- Photo by Olivia Resnick
