Billie Eilish Premieres New Song “bury a friend”
- American singer-songwriter Billie Eilish has released a new song “bury a friend” with an accompanying music video, directed by Michael Chaves.
A snippet of the song was teased by Billie Eilish on her Instagram page on January 28th, 2019.
The song is the third single off of her upcoming debut album "When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?", following previous singles "You Should See Me in a Crown" and "When the Party's Over". It was written by FINNEAS and Billie Eilish.
The song itself features a Prismizer effect, which manipulates pitch and frequency characteristics to achieve a different, choral effect. It is similar to her recent track "WHEN I WAS OLDER".
“I worked really hard on this video. I went into the studio, we worked for nine hours straight without any breaks,” she explained about the video in an interview with with Zane Lowe for Beats 1. “It was like a one day shoot, and it looks like we spent a week making this video, but it’s literally one day. It’s crazy.”
The debut album comprises of 14-track and is set to be released on March 29, 2019.
