Allie Sherlock Releases New Song “Damage Control”
Irish singer-songwriter Allie Sherlock released a new song “Damage Control” on May 2, 2025.
The song is the second original song of 2025, following “Ex-Friend” released back in January.
As the single, it follows a cover of Australian singer-songwriter Sia's “The Greatest”, which was released in March 2025.
This time, Allie Sherlock switch up subject matters, shining a spotlight on emotional insecurities.
The track is a beautiful ode to self-expression and the societal pressures of putting on a brave face.
It was written by Allie Sherlock and Karen Poole. Produced by Allie Sherlock.
Allie Sherlock said of the song, “All my life I’ve struggled with expressing myself, and I know I’m not alone in that. A lot of people can relate to what it feels like to force a smile, to be the life of the party even when you’re falling apart inside. That’s what my new song Damage Control is about-trying to keep it together when you don’t feel like yourself.”- She shared on social media, “I know so many people struggle with opening up about their feelings. And it’s something I’ve struggled with for a long time. So I wrote Damage Control so people who can relate can have a song they can cry to and finally get those emotions out.”
She added, “Life is hard sometimes. Sometimes you wanna just lay in bed all day but you don't want anyone to think there is something wrong. So you put on a smile and go about your day.” - source : Apple Music
