The Killers Returns with New Song “Bright Lights”
American rock band The Killers returned with a new song “Bright Lights” on August 9, 2024.
last December, the band released “We Did It In The Name Of Love” exclusively via their social media platforms.
Officially, the new song is their first music in a year since “Your Side of Town”.
The song was released ahead of their upcoming Las Vegas residency, where the band will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut album “Hot Fuss” at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace from August 14 to August 30, 2024.
On the live shows, the band original members Brandon Flowers (vocal), Dave Keuning (guitar), Ronnie Vannucci Jr. (drums) and Mark Stoermer (bass) will perform.
The track was written by Brandon Flowers, produced by Shawn Everett and Jonathan Rado.
The accompanying music video was directed by Micah Bickham.- Back in December 2023, the band frontman Brandon Flowers revealed that the band scrapped their new album.
Because the album was reminiscent of their early work.
Brandon Flowers told The Times, “Halfway through recording, I realized, 'I can't do this.' This is the crisis I'm in. The Killers are my identity, and our songs fill the seats, but I'm more fulfilled making music like [the stark, stripped-down] Pressure Machine. I found a side of myself writing it that was strong. This was the guy I'd been looking for! I'm as proud of Hot Fuss as you can be for something you did when you were 20, but I'm not 20. So I'm thinking about the next phase of my life.” - source : Apple Music
