Michele Nobler Releases New Song “Der Bach Schläft”
Italian composer and pianist Michele Nobler will release his piano solo album “Glass Boxes” on January 12, 2024.
The album comprises a 8-track and is his first project in three years since the 2021 EP “A Piano Sailing”.
From the album, he released the fourth single called “Der Bach Schläft” on December 15, 2023. He has been releasing a new song every month from September 2023 through the release of the new album.
The track was written by Michele Nobler.
“'Der Bach Schläft' is a peaceful sweet piano solo melody inspired by J.S.Bach's choral 'O Gott, du frommer Gott' BWV 767,” Michele Nobler said of the song. “I played a bit on Bach's name which in German means 'stream' of water, and since the melody is very peaceful I imagined this sleeping stream.”- He continued, “The title in English would therefore be 'The Sleeping Creek'. Thus in the video the dreamlike images of this sleep that follows the stream flow.”
He said of the album, “I imagined glass houses on the bed of the sea, when the tide goes out and gives way to the big beach. Inside the houses, people live, but are sometimes prisoners when the tide rises. They can only go out when the sea is low...And so are their emotions.” -
