Jorja Smith Premieres New Song “Broken is the man” on BBC Radio 1
British singer-songwriter Jorja Smith will release her sophomore album “falling or flying” on September 29, 2023.
It is her first album in five years since the 2018 debut album “Lost & Found”.
The album comprises 16-track, featuring guest appearances from J Hus and Lila Iké.
Ahead of releasing the album, Jorja Smith premiered a new song “Broken is the man” on BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds with Clara Amfo.
The song is 10th track on the album. It was written by Jorja Smith, Farra Blake, Marlon Roudette and Richard Isong. Produced by P2J.
Jorja Smith told Clara Amfo why she chose this song as a single, “This one was actually more of like a team decision because I was thinking I have portfolios for no fly now with the album, not because it's called the same layer as my album but because it's called the same name as my album. But then like, so my team like 'Broken is the man' and we're like, this one would do really were like going out with the album. And I was like, the songs are gonna come out at some point or albums coming out. So they did a little vote like around the office to see like, the people like, oh, this should go with the album. And it was 'Broken is the man' and this song will resonate with a lot of people. There's no like formula behind. I'm gonna put this out on the side just because it feels right.”
