Guns N' Roses Releases New Song “Perhaps”
American hard rock band Guns N' Roses, consisting of Axl Rose (lead vocals), Duff McKagan (bass), Slash (guitar), Dizzy Reed (keyboards), Richard Fortus (guitar), Frank Ferrer (drums) and Melissa Reese (keyboards), finally released a new song “Perhaps” along with a music video on August 18, 2023.
The song is the first release since the 4-track EP “Hard Skool”, which was released in 2022.
Originally, the song was recorded when the band made their sixth studio album “Chinese Democracy” in 2008 and the demo version has been leaked online since 2019.
But the band played it during soundcheck before a June 2023 Tel Aviv show.
The song was set for release on August 11, but was delayed due to reasons unknown at the time of publishing.
However prior to its delay, a link briefly appeared on the Universal Music website and was made available on TouchTunes digital jukebox machines across the US.
Then, the song was officially released on August 18.
According to a press release, “Though demoed in decades past, the song was written and recorded by Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan this year as their first collective new composition and recording together in 30 years.”
