Australian singer-songwriter Lachie Gill released a new song “Hate That You Hurt” on June 29, 2023.
The song is the follow-up to the collaborative song “Right People Wrong Time” featuring Elaskia, which was released back in March.
The track was written by Lachie Gill, Andy Mak, and Thom Mak. Produced by Andy Mak and Thom Mak.
Lachie Gill shared on social media, “A representation of the last year of my life. Some achievements that have been hard to fully comprehend & some personal struggles that have absolutely sucked. Life can be so brutal but I consider myself one of the lucky ones to be able to share my story through music.”
He continued, “It’s tough to open up about things that truly did hurt, but it feels good knowing that other people can now resonate and find comfort in that through this song.”
The accompanying music video was directed by Billy Zammit and Oliver Kirby.
He added, “When I say this music video is the coolest thing I’ve ever made I MEAN IT!!”- Lachie Gill won the eleventh season of The Voice Australia on May 29, 2022. He received $100,000 and a record label deal with Universal Music Australia.
