Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Gal Musette released her first single of 2023 called “Plateau” on February 24, 2023.
The song is the follow-up to “Je vois le ciel”, which was released last October.
The track was written when in bumper to bumper Los Angeles traffic and details a season of numbness and monotony as well as the death of idealization of life and love.
It was written by Gal Musette and Adam Bradley Schreiber. Produced by Jon O’Brien.
Gal Musette said of the song, “While driving the lyrics started coming out as a form of venting, basically I was babying out/complaining about how much time I spend in my car. But as the lyrics progressed, they kind of revealed a season of numbness and monotony I was stuck in, and the driving became a metaphor for how I felt in general, going through the motions, mindlessly traveling through life without much direction or emotion.”- Photo by Alex Justice
