Mimi Webb Drops New Live Video for “Ghost of You”
- British singer-songwriter Mimi Webb has dropped a new live video for “Ghost of You”.
She filmed the video at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City on October 11, 2022.
The song was released last month. It was written by Tia Scola, Nolan Sipe and Christopher Smith. Produced by Rissi and Rissi.
The song will appear on her upcoming debut album “Amelia”, which is set to be released on March 3, 2023.
Mimi Webb said of the song, “It's something I've been through recently and for me, the whole process of this song and releasing it is about putting your happiness first. You've got to remember your self-worth and self-love. When you're not feeling yourself, you're not being yourself. That's when you know something's not right. It's been really personal for me.”
She continued, “There's some real empowerment behind it and it's about going, 'There's nothing I can do about it, it's done, and all I know is that the universe has the best interests at heart for me and I have to go with it.'”
She added, “I started in retail when I was like, 16, or 17. I'd do weekdays and a few weekends while I was in and out of the studio. It is hard. You have to keep going and you are on your feet, but it definitely taught me to keep going now, which is useful!”
- The debut album comprises 12-track. “Announcing my first ever album is such an important moment in my career that honestly, sometimes I wasn't even sure would happen,” Mimi Webb said of the album in a press statement. “But after 3 years of hard work, I just can't wait to share this body of work with all of you who have helped me get to where I am today. The album is named Amelia, my full first name, as there are two sides of me that I want people to get to know. There's Amelia, the girl from the UK countryside who loves to be at home with her family, friends, and dogs; and Mimi, the pop artist who loves to be up on stage traveling the world. It was important for me to capture this duality with songs written for both of those girls, and I'm excited for you all to get to know them!”
