Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Hybrid Minds Premieres New Song “State Lines” featuring Birdy on BBC Radio 1
British DJ duo Hybrid Minds, consisting of Josh White and Matt Lowe, premiered a new song “State Lines” on BBC Radio 1's Future Sounds with Clara Amfo.
This time, the duo teamed up with British singer-songwriter Birdy on the track.
Before the release of the song, the duo remixed Birdy's “Deep End”, which was released last December.
The track was written by Matt Lowe, Josh White, Sara Boe, and Jasmine Van Den Bogaerde. Produced by Josh White and Matt Lowe.
“She was literally at the top of the list for our collaborations. And we were just absolutely ecstatic that our management managed to get her to be up to making the two of us to be honest,” the duo told Clara Amfo. “She's always been one of those dream artists that we wanted to work with. It is one of those things that we just thought it was so far away from reality that it was more of a dream. So it's amazing to actually say we're actually here talking about our travel Birdy.”- They continued, “When we were recording it to see her at the piano was just mad. It looks like she was born with one that's just an extension of our hands. It's insane. It's the first for us as well, to be honest, we're very when it comes to production. We're quite remote and we were apart a lot of the time, but we got in the studio Birdy and it was crazy to see how she operates. She's more machine than human. That's crazy.”
