Röyksopp Releases New Song “Unity” featuring Karen Harding
- Norwegian electronic music duo Röyksopp, consisting of Svein Berge and Torbjørn Brundtland, teamed up with British singer-songwriter Karen Harding to release a new song “Unity”.
The song is the second single off of their upcoming seventh studio album “Profound Mysteries II”, following “Sorry” featuring Jamie Irrepressible.
It was written by Karen Harding, Svein Berge and Torbjørn Brundtland. Produced by Röyksopp.
“I use the word 'rave' loosely, but I mean a touch of The KLF and a touch of the classic house screamer – but dialled down,” Svein Berge told NME about the song. “That's why we wanted her voice for the song 'Unity'. We actually wrote that track in 1992 in my bedroom. We thought it would be nice to bring it up and made it like we made it back then.”
The new album is a sequel to “Profound Mysteries”, which was released back in April.
The album comprises 10-track, featuring guest appearances from Astrid S, Karen Harding, Susanne Sundfør, Jamie Irrepressible and Pixx.
It is set to be released on August 19, 2022.
