Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Gathering of Strangers Releases New Song “Naked & Blind”
Manchester-based alt-rock band Gathering of Strangers, consisting of Conor (vocals), Tom (guitar), Pete (drums), Bruce (keyboard) and Andre (bass), released a new song “Naked & Blind” on April 1, 2022.
The song is the second single off of their upcoming EP, following “Cherry Red” released last November.
It was written by Conor Rabone and produced by David Watts at The Chairworks, and engineered by Seadna McPhail.
The band wrote the song during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Gathering of Strangers said of the song, “We wrote this song last year in the middle of the madness of the pandemic. Tom, our guitarist, led the rehearsal with a subtle yet captivating lead line that we ended up forming the whole song around.”
The band continued, “Battling with our own highs and lows throughout these years taken from us, we used this song to portray our heightened emotions in our most vulnerable states. Tackling these tough times, we were able to identify how strength can be born from vulnerability when allowing yourself to be open and focus on brighter days ahead.”- Photo by Matt Eachus
