British singer-songwriter James Bay returned with a new song “Give Me The Reason” on March 24, 2022.
The song is the first single off of his upcoming third studio album.
It was written by Gabe Simon, Foy Vance and James Bay. Produced by Gabe Simon.
James Bay shared on social media, “Give Me The Reason, the first single from my third album is finally here. It's been a long and winding adventure making all this new music, but every moment was worth it. I love this song, it feels so good to send it out into the world.”
He continued, “I've said before that for me, songs can feel like movie scenes. This song is like that scene when everything's about to fall apart between the two main characters and you're rooting for the one who's fighting to keep them together. After I finished writing this song I kept seeing that scene and it was always washed in a warm, sunset glow. Like that moment between day and night, between the end of one thing and the beginning of another. Give Me The Reason is a song for that moment. When it looks as though the sun is setting on a relationship, when your heart's in your throat and the desire to be together is stronger than ever.
