Empty Isles Premieres New Song “hard to cope”
- Nashville-based producer and singer-songwriter Zach Lardy, aka Empty Isles plans to release his upcoming self-titled EP this fall.
The EP is his first project since the 2019 debut album “For When You Need Me” in two years.
From the EP, he premiered a new song “hard to cope” on September 15, 2021.
“I couldn't make sense of it all,” Zach Lardy said of the song. “The viewpoint of the song is written from someone else having a hard time coping, but ultimately I was picturing me having a hard time with all that was going on. There's a line in the song about wearing a sweater; I legit wore the same sweater every day for months. It was my security sweater.”
He worked with producer Chase Weber on the track. “Chase helped shape what my new sound is going to be,” he said. “He helped me get out of boxes I've forced myself to live in all the time.”
