The Knocks Releases New Song “River” featuring Parson James
New York-based electro-pop duo The Knocks, consisting of Ben Ruttner and James Patterson, released a new song “River” on October 22, 2021.
The song follows up “Sound The Alarm” released back in July and will appear on their upcoming third studio album.
This time, the duo teamed up with American singer-songwriter Parson James on the track.
It was written by Ben Ruttner, Nate Cyphert, Styalz Fuego, Zachary Cooper, Victor Dimotsis, Ivan Rosenburg, Parson James, Andrew Hunt, Dan Morriss, Mike Burford, Marc Burford and Don Bowman.
The duo started making the song during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown. The initial idea was sample-based, which sampled from the band Echotape.
The Knocks shared on social media, “River Featuring Parson James is out everywhere now! We've been working on this one for almost 2 years & are happy to have it out in the world. It was started at the beginning of the pandemic when we were all feeling very nostalgic for certain memories and feelings. This marks the beginning of album 3 for us & we can't wait to share more. This song wouldn't have been possible without a lot of people we love - NATE Cyphert, brasstracks, Styalz Fuego, King Garbage & contains a sample from the band Echotape.”- source : Apple Music
