Steady Holiday Shares Two New Songs “Living Life” & “Tangerine”
- Los Angeles-based alt-pop singer-songwriter Dre Babinski, aka Steady Holiday released two new singles of 2020 “Living Life” and “Tangerine” on October 16 and November 20, respectively.
The two songs will appear on her upcoming third studio album “Take the Corners Gently”, which is expected to be released in 2021. It is her first LP in three years.
“Living Life” features rhythmic pop sound, but it reminiscent of Sigur Rós. The music video was directed by Isaac Ravishankara.
“‘Living Life’ might be the most straightforward song I’ve written, and it’s about living with that same intention — doing things that come naturally, and not getting in your own way,” Dre Babinski said in a statement. “The video is meant to capture that sentiment too. Be humble and direct, and appreciate moments as they happen.”
“Tangerine” features dark pop sound. “‘Tangerine’ is a song about mental illness. About witnessing someone’s behavior change without warning,” she wrote in a statement. “It can be a frightening and heartbreaking thing, and I’m still learning how to understand it. Sometimes that’s easier to do with abstractions. Like turning a difficult subject into a fruit, I suppose.”
