American singer-songwriter Ava Max will release her upcoming sophomore album “Diamonds & Dancefloors” this Friday (January 27th) via Atlantic Records.
It is her first album in two years and also first project after signing with Scooter Braun's SB Projects.
From the album, she released “Cold As Ice” on January 24, 2023.
The song is the sixth single and the final promotional single, following "Maybe You're the Problem", "Million Dollar Baby", "Weapons", "Dancing's Done", and "One Of Us".
It was written by Amanda Ava Koci, Henry Walter, Mathew James Burns, Caroline Ailin, and Brett McLaughlin. Produced by Lostboy,Burns and Cirkut.
She said of the song, “I was singing really low on that harmony. I sound like a man sometimes.”- The new album features 14-track, featuring her soul-crushing lyrics with upbeat,dance-ready melodies.

Ava Max told Rolling Stone about the album, “When I was in the studio, that was all I could write about: sad lyrics and what I went through. But I turned it into dance music.”
